OSS World Wide Movers provides a high quality motor vehicle shipment service, which ensures the highest level of protection for your car during the international moving process.
Should I take my car with me when I move overseas?
Depending on the age and value of your vehicle and your intended destination, it may be advisable to sell your car before moving. When moving cars overseas there are some things that you have to take into account.
Are there any restrictions or issues to consider when moving my car to another country?
Some countries have stringent environmental requirements based on the vehicle age and distance travelled, while other countries impose import duties and other charges when importing any type of vehicle.
Regulations differ from one country to the next, so it is always best to discuss any vehicle shipping requirements with your OSS Relocation Coordinator as early as possible. They will then determine if it is possible and more importantly if it is an economical option for you to ship your car to the destination country.
Can I pack other items I am moving in the car when shipping it overseas?
Unfortunately, you can’t load up your car with other personal effects that would not normally be part of your vehicle, as customs and quarantine officers will often need to inspect your items which they can’t do if they are packed in the vehicle.
Can I store my car with OSS?
At OSS we offer short and long-term storage for vehicles. We offer storage in sealed containers or on the warehouse floor depending on your needs. We can even offer you a periodical vehicle turnover service to ensure your much-loved vehicle will be in full working order when you need it.
