What You Need To Know

Important Information To Consider When Moving To France (Shared Container)

Our shared containers into Europe are shipped via The Netherlands or Belgium. Meaning a less complicated clearance on arrival.

For consignments that are part of the European Union/Schengen zone the below documents are required: 

  • Copy of the passport;
  • Copy of the packing list;
  • Delivery Access Form

Expected time path for handling and delivery of shared container shipments to Europe;

  • Releasing container from shipping line and transport to our warehouse: 2 – 3 days.
  • Deconsolidation of container at our warehouse: 2 – 4 days.
  • Import clearance if we have received your import paperwork on time: 3 – 5 days
  • Once cleared time frame of delivery to your residence is 2 to 4 weeks for normal EU destinations.
  • Outlying and long-distance destinations might take somewhat longer.

Important Information To Consider When Moving To France

  • Residence Transfer Certificate (Certificat de Changement de Residence) from French Consulate/Embassy in Sydney
  • If moving to France on an employer’s statement confirming the transfer and also noting how long you have been in Australia, your Australian address, the reason for transfer and your French address (can be the temporary address).
  • Copy of the photo page of your passport
  • Detailed Valued Inventory in French with EUR values
  • Non-resale Bond (dated and signed and indicating the same values as noted on the aforementioned inventory)
  • Proof of residence in France (Less than 3 months old)

There may also be additional documentation that you will be required to provide at the destination to achieve duty-free entry for your shipment. Whilst you are not required to provide this documentation to us at this time, please ensure you read and fully understand the requirements.
