move your household goods to China with confidence

how long will my move to another country take

How long will my move to china take?

When moving your household goods to China by sea freight, this will typically take 6-8 weeks for an FCL service. For services such as LCL and shared container services (i.e. groupage), these will take longer to reach your destination as your goods will need to be consolidated with other consignments heading to the same destination.

Please discuss these options & shipping times with your removal consultant, as shipping times will vary greatly for each destination when using this type of service over an FCL service.

can I pack my own goods When moving to another country

Can I pack my own goods when I move to china?

If you are sending items that have been packed by yourself “Packed by Owner” then they will attract a more stringent inspection by Customs on arrival in China.

Providing a detailed carton by carton inventory will assist Customs in inspecting your effects, and may avoid unnecessary delays. It is advisable to have your goods packed by OSS if you are looking at sending larger consignments, to ensure the clearance process can be conducted with minimum fuss.

what's the process of Moving to another country with pets

Can I move to china with pets?

According to Notice on the Implementation of Regulations Concerning Entry of Pet Dogs and Pet Cats by the Ministry of Agriculture and General Administration of Customers, one traveller can bring only one pet dog or cat across the border. The following process will occur:

  1. After receiving the declaration of a pet dog or pet cat filed by a traveller, customs will inspect the certificate of quarantine and certificate of rabies vaccination issued by an official of the exporting country (or region).
  2. Customs will inform the port Animal and Plant Quarantine Office to quarantine the pet dog or pet cat. Moving to another country with electrical goods

Electrical Goods and Compliance when moving to china

In China, there are three plug types, types A, C and I. Plug type A is the plug that has two flat parallel pins, plug type C is the plug that has two round pins and plug type I is the plug that has three flat pins in a triangular pattern. China operates on a 220V supply voltage and 50Hz (Hong Kong is 200V; Taiwan is 110V).

Chinese power plugs and power sockets are similar to those in Australia. A Chinese power plug may fit loosely in an Australian socket, but thick pins of an Australian plug may not fit easily in a Chinese power socket. In China, the sockets are installed upside-down compared to Australian ones. A standard socket on a wall in China has two flat pins on the upper part and earthed three flat pins on the lower part.
